from the BBC: Musharraf assumes nuclear control. —Is it just me or is this a seriously frightening headline?

President Musharraf is a US supported megalomaniac who has been reported to be convinced that Pakistan cannot exist without him.

Now he’s president instead of general, he’s still the same dictator he always was.
His takeover of the agency that controls the nukes needs to be ratified by parliament sometime in the next six months. But given his tendency to forcibly suppress anyone who opposes him I doubt that even a hostile parliament can wrest control from him.

The world gets a little scarier every day.
